Payroll Tax Calculator
TXR
Withholding you can stand behind
TXR calculates employee payroll withholdings — federal, state, and local — from wages and a work location. Every number it returns traces to a published rule, and every rule is tested against the authority's own tables and worked examples before it ships.
- Correct, and checkable. Rules ship with executable tests derived from the published tables and worked examples; a calculation can show its work down to the bracket that produced it.
- Out of your data. Send wages and a work location; get withholdings back. TXR keeps no employee records — by construction, not by policy.
- Readable by your people. Underneath the engine, every rate, bracket, wage base, and jurisdiction test is human-readable, version-controlled text with history — your auditors and your developers read the same source of truth.
The engine is country-agnostic; launch coverage is the United States — federal and state income tax, unemployment insurance, and local taxes down to city, county, and school district.
